Wacky Pest Wednesday: Cockroaches

 In News

Good Wednesday to you, Tri-County Pest Control fans, and welcome to our latest edition of Wacky Pest Wednesday!  This week, we’re looking at a classic pest: the cockroach.

Cockroaches are the stereotypical pest, and the one that most homeowners dread the most.  Since they are social animals, one cockroach means that there’s likely a grouping nearby.  Roaches will eat almost anything in sight, from human food to fabrics to paper.  Not only that, but the females can have hundreds of offspring, further perplexing the state of the infestation.

They are known for their resilient nature, but did you know that the cockroach can survive for weeks after losing its head?  Much like a chicken, these little critters can keep kicking even after they lose their noggin.  Head or no head, they still wreck havoc.  This can make them a pain to get rid of, but thankfully our mix of time-proven removal methods and cutting-edge pest management technology come together to make sure they get out, and stay out.

If you think you may have a cockroach infestation, give us a call right away, and we will be there to save the day.  Cockroaches are extremely tough (they can survive a nuclear war after-all, which we wrote about a few months ago) so it pays to have them all removed in one fell swoop.  Even if one is left over, it can mean the start of another infestation, so make sure you pick a pest control agency who will do it right the first time!

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!
